Researches
Nyborg-Mawent SA Quality Department laboratory works within a recognized
quality system providing a demanded level of dynamic, flow, acoustic and electrical
parameters of fans.
The major operational parameters of each propelled fan are subject to obligatory tests
and assessments in accordance with established procedures or in accordance with the order.
Stands for determining the flow volumes of: efficiency, pressure, and electrical parameters:
such as electric power and intensity, rotational speed, vibration level, vibration spectrum
and level of acoustic pressure allow for testing prototypes, production modernisation and
on-going basis production supervision at each stage of production process.
For the purpose of flow measurements we have stands allowing for testing of fans of the inlet diameter from 35
to 1600 mm in accordance with the PN ISO 5801, ISO 13350 standard. A set of electrical devices allow the
measurement of current, voltage, slip, grid frequency, resistances, creepage current and insulation for electric motors
within the range of up to 250 kW.
The frequency inverter possessed allows us to test and check products powered with the grid frequency of 60 Hz,
and to carry out dynamic and flow measurements with various rotational speeds.
Centrifugation stand is the final control of correctness of project assumptions and impellers’ production process
at the stage of prototype testing as well as at the stage of ATEX certified fans production.
The acoustic set, the core of which is SVAN 912AE allows us to determine and control the acoustic parameters
of devices, select of adaptation products protecting against noise emission such as tubular or core silences, curtain
insulations or acoustic chambers. Acoustic measurements can be also carried out on the installation site.
Measurements carried out at the Laboratory or on the customer’s site allow meeting special requirements as for the
environment protection, checking the fan’s operation points in a process system, power consumption, capacity or level
of acoustic pressure. The above allows the selection of new, more efficient solutions,
adapted to required process parameters.
The systematic use of Laboratory possibilities allows the Nyborg-Mawent Group to implement new, highly-efficient
fans of the parameters expected by customers.
