Nyborg Group
The Nyborg-Mawent brand was established in 2005 as a result of fusion between Norwegian leading producer of industrial fans Nyborg AS and Polish Mawent S.A. Experience of both companies dating back to the 50s of XX century is a guarantee of the highest quality and durability of produced fans. Nyborg Group was established in 2010 – a group of companies providing complete project execution -from documentation design to assembly at site.

Thanks to operation of three companies: NYBORG-MAWENT, NM Design Office and Nyborg S.A. under common name of Nyborg Group we provide our customers with universal realization of untrusted projects – beginning with preparing of documentation, through material specifications, inter branch agreements, up to production of fans and accompanying accessories. In the cases of untypical expectations we also construct dedicated equipment for the needs of particular project. Each case is treated individually and our longstanding experience guarantees success in every investment.

NYBORG GROUP
1947
1947 - NYBORG AS
Nyborg AS was established in 1947 in Norway, 3 years later started to deliver fans for shipyard and furniture industries. In the 60s’ it was just production for marine and later land industry that became major domain of its operation. Tradition, experience and modern technology have been the leading values of Nyborg AS from its very beginning. Today the Company is one of the largest and the best known suppliers of fans and equipment for transport of air on world marine and offshore market. Nyborg AS is a part of Prime Group of Norway – Norwegian group of companies specializing in delivery of advanced solutions for marine and offshore branch.
1956
1956 - MALBORK FAN FACTORY
On 20th of December, 1956 the Minister of Craft and Small Industry constituted the Malbork Fan Factory. Its main duty was production of ventilation fans, air conditioning and pneumatic transport equipment for evolving Polish industry. Its production base by no means did resemble the industrial factory. A few wooden shacks, smithy and a space which used to be a dairy were turned into machining hall, whereas a 9-room residential building served as an office – this was the entire wealth of people building the seed of factory. The people who had a dream to build a vibrant industrial company in Malbork which could be proud of its modern production offer.
1970
1970 - Malbork Fan Factory
In 1970 Malbork Fan Factory was assigned to The Industry of Ventilating, Air-Conditioning and Dust-Eliminating Equipment Federation “Klima-Went”. As a result the factory became the only Polish producer of axial fans for marine industry and centrifugal fans of overall application up to the power of 75 kW.
1988
1988 - PRODUCTION INCREASE FOR THE SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY
In 1988 as a result of subsequent transformations Malbork Fan Factory was involved into Air Technique Equipment Company’s Association “TEPO” in Katowice. It allowed for further technical and technological development – the factory produced more and more modern and productive units, such as: axial fans for chimney cold stores and fans with strengthened casing for shipyard industry needs. Near the end of the 80s’ also for the needs of marine industry explosion proof ventilation equipment was implemented into production. These were the fans for ventilation on ships under construction as well as auxiliary blowers for ship’s main engine.
2000
2000 - COOPERATION WITH NYBORGA AS
2000 year was a time of decisions and a mile stone in Company’s history. Norwegian Nyborg AS, which had been Mawent’s competitor on marine market, unable to compete with low prices offered by Polish Ventilation Companies, decided to look for contractor in Poland. At the same time, Polish Mawent faced enormous financial problems caused by market collapse and was looking for strategic investor. Still in 2000 preliminary talks between Norwegians and Mawent were conducted, which resulted with first purchase orders from Nyborg AS. It allowed Polish company to survive these hard times. Year 2001 was a time of mutual cooperation development, which finally after 40% of shares takeover resulted in Nyborg AS’ become a strategic partner.
2005
2005 - NYBORG – MAWENT S.A.
Nyborg-Mawent S.A. was established in 2005 as a result of fusion between two companies specializing in industry fans’ production: Norwegian Nyborg AS and Polish MAWENT S.A. From this moment Nyborg AS became a majority shareholder of the Company, holding over 60% of shares in its hands. Similarly to mother-companies, Nyborg-Mawent S.A combines a longstanding experience in designing, construction and production of complex solutions for air, gas mixtures and other substances transport with modern technologies as well as world known brand.
2010
2010 - NYBORG GROUP
In order to meet customers’ needs on the beginning of 2010 Nyborg-Mawent established NM Design Office. Its main activity constitutes designing of equipment and installations for Nyborg Group companies, as well as delivery of ventilation and air-conditioning design solutions. As a result the Group is able to deliver complete solutions including design, technical agreements and authorial supervision. Long-experienced designers contribute to NM Design Office professionalism, knowledge and competence, as well as quickness, promptness, new technologies and enormous enthusiasm.
2016
2016 - DEVELOPMENT
Nyborg-Mawent constantly invests financial resources for upgrading of production equipment such as plasma, laser, coiling machine for plates and lathe (one of 2-3 pieces in Poland) for axial fans up to 2,2m diameter as well as modern, working in closed circulation shot-blasting room. Thanks to above we speed up, modernize and make the process and technology of our production cheaper.

2021
Thanks to the European Union funds, despite the prevailing pandemic Nyborg-Mawent does not abandon its plans for organization development. In April, 2020 we won the competition and obtained EU funds for construction of measurement-acoustic laboratory which actual implementation started in 2021. Despite difficult geopolitical world situation, our organization does not slow down the pace, we do not look back on our track for new challenges and opportunities for constant development.
