3D ATOS Compact Scan

We are able to use technologies that are also used by NASA for its research and development projects. Such technologies include the ATOS Compact Scan 3D scanner. It is a lightweight, mobile and fast 3D optical measurement system using blue LED light technology dedicated to performing high-precision measurements of structures with high accuracy of objects up to 3,000 mm in size. Measurements are used for both reverse engineering and metrology analysis, which means it is ideally suited for quality control of semi-finished and finished products, as well as for the implementation of new designs into production.

Scanner:

  • ensures high mobility, short system set-up and operational readiness times,
  • enables a wide variety of objects to be scanned in a very short time in a workshop environment,
  • allows the results obtained to be compared with the CAD design model
  • allows the comparison of two identical objects
  • defines the inspection cross-sections
  • automatically creates 2D and 3D drawings from the scanned data
  • allows the position and shape tolerances to be calculated even on very complex structures.

The device is successfully used in reverse engineering, which is based on the microscanning technique and involves creating a high-fidelity digital equivalent of the scanned element.

Reverse engineering is used in:

  • designing an object based on model measurements,
  • digital alignment (virtual assembly and simulations to detect collisions of joined components),
  • reproduction of components/subassemblies without complete technical documentation,
  • reconstruction of damaged parts,
  • preparation of as-built documentation.
