The Nor278 reference sound source is used in the measurements for the sound power determination in accordance with ISO 3741, ISO 3743-1 and ISO3747 standards.

The device being a sound reference, features high stability and repeatability of the emitted sound as well as perfect unit uniformity. It is used to establish the calculated environmental adjustments to the reverberation field using the comparative method. The high sound output power means that the unit can also be used for sound power measurements in the environment containing high background sound emissions.
