WOMS marine axial fans are designed to press the air in ventilation systems and technological lines on marine vessels with unlimited movement area. The temperature of pumped medium must not exceed 318K (45°C) and the dust content must not be higher than 0,3g/m3. They can also be used as general-purpose fans, especially in places where operating conditions are difficult due to high humidity and increased temperature of the medium.
Varieties of execution
WOMS fans are produced in five sizes: 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100, whose housing diameters above the impeller blades are respectively: 400, 500, 630, 800 and 1000.
Design versions
Duct (K) – to cover the installation on the supply and exhaust side of the fan
Supply (N) – one-side duct – to cover the installation on supply side of the fan.
The fans can work in horizontal or vertical position with appropriate execution (IM) of electric motor.
Design
The fan housing is made of steel and consists of confusor, cylinder and diffuser. Inside the housing there is a set of guide vanes (inlet and outlet), which is mounted in cylindrical part of the fan. Electric motor is attached to the inlet steel guide vane. The fan impeller is cast of aluminium alloy with blades with variable angle. The fans are driven by flange-type, three-phase, squirrel cage, weathertight marine induction motors, equipped with terminal box located on the counter-drive side for single-duct supply fans. In duct fans the terminal box is located on the fan housing. The motors do not have their own ventilation. The housing can be protected with anticorrosive, marine paint or other as requested by customer.
